Kartwise — Privacy Policy

Kartwise (“the App”) lets Shopify merchants offer quantity discounts, bundles and frequently bought together suggestions. This policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is used.

Information we access

• Product information: product titles, handles and images for the products a merchant chooses for an offer, used to set up and display those offers.
• Discounts: the App creates one automatic discount in the merchant's store and stores the merchant's offer settings on it, so Shopify can apply the offers at checkout.
• Anonymous offer counts: when a shopper sees an offer or adds to cart through it, the storefront sends us the store domain, the offer, and the amount added. We keep only daily totals per offer for the merchant's Analytics page. No names, emails, addresses, IP addresses, cookies or cart contents are stored. Visitor IP addresses are used briefly in memory to limit abuse and are never written down.
• Store owner and staff: the store domain and the session information Shopify provides when you open the App, used to authenticate you.

The App does not access or store customer or order information. Discounts are calculated by Shopify during checkout; the App's servers never see shoppers' carts, only the anonymous counts above.

How we use it

Solely to provide the App's features to the store that installed it. We do not sell or share data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Storage and retention

Offer settings and counts are stored on secured cloud infrastructure. When a store uninstalls the App, Shopify notifies us and we delete all of that store's data within 48 hours of that notice.

Your rights

Store owners can request access to or deletion of their data at any time by contacting us. Because the App holds no personal information about shoppers, customer data requests require no action beyond confirming this.
